096 FNUS53 KMQT 131002 FWFMQT FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR UPPER MICHIGAN National Weather Service Marquette MI 601 AM EDT Fri Jun 13 2025 .DISCUSSION...Cloud cover has overspread the UP this morning with rainfall already ongoing in the south-central UP. Rain will overspread the rest of the UP through the morning hours. Most of the UP will see around a half inch of rain today, with the Keweenaw Peninsula only 40% likely to see rain at all and a narrow swath of near an inch of rain possible (20-40 percent chance) along the MI/WI state line and the south-central UP. Cloud cover and moist conditions will keep temperatures cool and thus RHs will only fall into the 60s percent range today. Lightning is generally not expected today. Winds will range from northeast to southeast at around 10 mph with gusts to 15 mph. A lull in the coverage and intensity of showers is expected tonight before more light rain showers return Saturday. Confidence is higher in showers in the west, with the east only around 50 percent likely to see any precipitation. As a result, RHs are expected to fall into the 40s in the east while in the west, RHs are expected to stay in the 70s. Winds remain primarily out of the east at 5 to 10 mph with gusts to 15 mph.
