642 FNUS53 KMQT 181018 CCA FWFMQT FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR UPPER MICHIGAN...CORRECTED National Weather Service Marquette MI 618 AM EDT Wed Jun 18 2025 .DISCUSSION...While the system rainfall is expected to miss us to our southeast today, we could see some scattered showers and storms form over the central and east this afternoon with the help of the Lake Superior and Michigan lake breezes; while not widespread, heavy downpours are possible in some of the showers and storms. With weak ridging remaining near the sfc, winds today are expected to be driven by the aforementioned lake breezes. While we could get down to around 40% min RH in the interior west this afternoon, no fire weather concerns are expected; expect high temperatures today to be pretty similar to what we saw yesterday. Expect a full RH recovery tonight with conditions being more moist Thursday as additional showers and storms are expected by the afternoon hours.
