FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR UPPER MICHIGAN
National Weather Service Marquette MI
428 AM EDT Sat Jun 1 2024

...Showers and storms move through today through this evening...

.DISCUSSION: Expect wetter conditions at the surface and generally
slightly cooler temperatures across the U.P. today as a cold front
makes its way from the west to east today into tonight. While we
could see some spots drop min RHs down into the mid 30 percents
over the far east this afternoon, with moisture being advected in
from the south today, more moist conditions are expected at the
surface. The shower and thunderstorm activity looks to slowly die
out tonight over the eastern U.P., with some spots only seeing a
couple hundreths of an inch of rainfall. Meanwhile, we could see
some spots in the west get over a quarter of an inch of liquid.
Drier weather returns Sunday, with min RHs into the mid 30
percents looking to show up in the interior west.
