.DISCUSSION...

Generally quiet weather is expected for the rest of today with
surface high pressure centered over Quebec and extending ridging into
the Great Lakes. That said, a disturbance over the WI/IL border and
another shortwave reaching Ontario late this afternoon will keep in
chances for some light rain showers rain showers through the
afternoon and early evening. Midlevel cloud cover remains over the
area, but if any showers can develop, there is a potential for a
slight drop in visibility and MVFR ceilings. Otherwise, light
southeast winds at around 5-10kts shift more to the east and then
northeast through the afternoon and early evening. Wave heights
remain below a foot. Light lake effect rain showers are possible by
Sunday afternoon, otherwise expect lower-level lake clouds to drop
ceilings to MVFR. Winds, shifting out of the northeast, turn gusty
into Sunday. Wind gusts up to 20-30kts are expected by the
afternoon, with wave heights increasing to 3-5ft in response.
