.DISCUSSION...

Winds are picking up from the south today ahead of an incoming front
to our west. While some gusts of 30 knots are possible at the sfc,
wave heights should be limited to 2 ft or less until the winds shift
on Saturday. While we could see some westerly gale force gusts up to
35 knots from time to time Saturday afternoon behind the cold front,
expect the wind gusts to be about the same (although the sustained
winds may not be as high). Generally VFR conditions over the area
give way to deteriorating flying weather late tonight as the cold
front brings showers and storms to the area; could see sfc conditions
drop down into low MVFR before improving back up to VFR by late
Saturday morning. In addition, expect LLWS to develop late tonight as
the cold front passes through, bringing changing of the winds with
height as it passes.
