...THUNDERSTORMS OVER THE WATERS...

  Eagle River to Manitou Island MI...
  Lake Superior East of a line from Manitou Island to Marquette MI
  and West of a line from Grand Marais MI to the US/Canadian Border
  Beyond 5NM from shore...
  Lake Superior from Upper Entrance to Portage Canal to Manitou
  Island MI 5NM off shore to the US/Canadian Border...
  Manitou Island to Point Isabelle MI...

At 1127 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated strong thunderstorms, capable
of producing winds to around 30 knots. These thunderstorms were
located along a line extending from near Passage Island Light to 6 nm
south of Manitou Island, moving northeast at 35 knots.

Locations impacted include...
The Central Lake Superior Buoy, Manitou Island, and Passage Island
Light.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots, locally higher
waves, and lightning strikes. Boaters should seek safe harbor
immediately until these storms pass.
