The National Weather Service in Marquette has issued a

* Special Marine Warning for...
  Lake Superior East of a line from Manitou Island to Marquette MI
  and West of a line from Grand Marais MI to the US/Canadian Border
  Beyond 5NM from shore...

* Until 800 PM EDT.

* At 721 PM EDT, strong thunderstorms were located along a line
  extending from 14 nm east of Manitou Island to near Stannard Rock
  to 15 nm north of Granite Island, moving east at 45 knots.

  HAZARD...Wind gusts 34 knots or greater and small hail.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and
           suddenly higher waves.

* Locations impacted include...
  Stannard Rock.
