...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT KEWEENAW COUNTY THROUGH 1230 AM
EDT...

At 1152 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 6 miles northwest of Windigo to 12 miles
southeast of Siskiwit Lake. Movement was northeast at 30 mph.

HAZARD...Winds in excess of 30 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Siskiwit Lake, Mott Island Park Headquarters, Rock Harbor, and Mount
Desor.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

These storms may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
