...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 7 AM THIS MORNING TO 7 AM
EST THURSDAY...

* WHAT...Lake effect snow expected. Total snow accumulations between
  3 and 7 inches. Winds gusting as high as 35 mph, highest along the
  Lake Superior shores.

* WHERE...Alger, Luce, and Northern Schoolcraft Counties.

* WHEN...From 7 AM this morning to 7 AM EST Thursday.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be difficult. Areas of blowing snow could
  significantly reduce visibility. The hazardous conditions could
  impact the Wednesday morning and evening commutes.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The southwest portions of Alger County such
  as Chatham and Trenary will see snow accumulations of 2 inches or
  less.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Slow down and use caution while traveling.

During lake effect snow, the weather can vary from bands of locally
heavy snow to dry weather just a few miles away. Visibilities can
also vary greatly. Be prepared for rapid changes in weather,
visibility, and road conditions.
