...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 730 PM EDT THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of east Tennessee, including the following
  counties, Blount, Knox, Loudon and Roane.

* WHEN...Until 730 PM EDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
  Water over roadways. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is
  occurring or is imminent.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 425 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen
    over the last hour, especially in the Kingston, Harriman, and
    Rockwood areas, as well as southern parts of the Knoxville
    metro area. An additional 1 to 2 inches of rain are possible
    over the next couple of hours. Minor flooding is ongoing or
    expected to begin shortly in the advisory area.
  - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected
    over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
    flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Knoxville, Oak Ridge, Maryville, Lenoir City, Alcoa,
    Kingston, Rockwood, Farragut, Louisville, Rockford, Midtown,
    Eagleton Village, Harriman, Bradbury and Wildwood.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
