Fire Weather Planning Forecast for East Tennessee...Southwest
Virginia...and Extreme Southwest North Carolina
National Weather Service Morristown TN
237 AM EST Sat Nov 29 2025

.DISCUSSION...

...Low RH Saturday Afternoon...

Dry and cold weather will continue through this afternoon, with
Low RH across portions of the area. Strong and gusty winds will
develop in the higher terrain of the East Tennessee mountains and
immediate foothills later this evening. Downslope drying will help
promote a brief period between 7 and 10 PM EST and where these
gusty winds and low RH coexist. Rain chances will gradually
increase overnight into Sunday morning. A light wintry mix will be
possible across the highest elevations of the mountains at onset
of precipitation.
