Fire Weather Planning Forecast for East Tennessee...Southwest
Virginia...and Extreme Southwest North Carolina
National Weather Service Morristown TN
1237 PM EST Fri Dec 5 2025

.DISCUSSION...

Cloudy, dry, and cooler than normal conditions through Saturday for
most areas. The next chance of rain arrives late Sunday, with a
change to snow possible in northeast Tennessee and southwest
Virginia Sunday night into early Monday morning. Impacts and amounts
should be negligible. We should see another short lived period of
dry but dreary conditions before another system arrives mid-week.
