.DISCUSSION...

...Wind Advisory in Effect Tonight Into Tuesday...

A Wind Advisory is in effect tonight into Tuesday across the east
TN mountains and foothills. The strongest winds will occur above
3,000 feet in elevation and any mountain wave prone locations,
such as Camp Creek in Greene County. Wind gusts are expected to
range between 40 and 50 mph.

Widespread measurable rainfall is expected with between Tuesday
and Wednesday. The highest amounts are expected across the central
and southern TN valley and southwest NC where around 1 inch of
rainfall is expected. Around 0.5 inches is expected across
northeast TN and southwest VA.

A few strong storms are possible across the southern TN valley
and southwest NC Tuesday afternoon and early evening. A
conditional risk is in place for a weak isolated tornado.

Then, colder and drier by Thanksgiving.
