Virginia...and Extreme Southwest North Carolina
National Weather Service Morristown TN
232 PM EDT Sun Sep 20 2026

.DISCUSSION...

Abnormally hot temperatures can be expected to continue through
Monday as we remain under the influence of the upper level ridge to
our west. Shower and thunderstorm chances will be in place each day,
mainly during the afternoon and evening hours. Additional rain
chances arrive mid-week along with temperatures closer to seasonal
averages. Relative humidity values will remain moderate throughout
the week even with the temperature drop.
