...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT WESTERN CHEROKEE...SOUTHEASTERN
BRADLEY...POLK AND SOUTHWESTERN MONROE COUNTIES THROUGH 345 PM EDT...

At 250 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Benton, moving east at 30 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Benton, Ducktown, William L. Davenport Refuge, Coker Creek, Violet,
Parksville, Turtletown, Bullet Creek, Hiawasse Dam, and Reliance.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Occasional cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
