...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTHWESTERN COCKE COUNTY
THROUGH 515 PM EDT...

At 426 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 7
miles west of Smoky Mountains-Big Creek, or 13 miles south of
Newport, moving east at 15 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Pittman Center, Cosby, Hartford, and Waterville.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
