The Flathead Avalanche Center in Hungry Horse has issued a BACKCOUNTRY
AVALANCHE WATCH for the following areas:

NWS Missoula MT -
MTZ001 (MTZ001)...MTZ002 (MTZ002)

* WHAT...Very dangerous avalanche conditions may develop as a complex winter
storm brings heavy snow and powerful winds to the region.

* WHERE...Mid- and upper-elevation slopes in the Swan Range, Whitefish
Range, Flathead Range, and portions of Glacier National Park.

* WHEN...In effect from Tue 06:47 MST to Wed 06:47 MST.

* IMPACTS...New and drifting snow may build thick slabs over weak old snow.
Human-triggered avalanches are likely on or below steep slopes.

* PRECAUTIONARY / PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...Be alert for changing conditions
and increasing avalanche danger. Avoid traveling on or below steep slopes.
Shooting cracks and blowing snow are clear signs of danger.
