.DISCUSSION...
Idaho (Zones 102 and 103): Southwesterly flow aloft and an upper level
jet streak over the Northern Rockies will bring mostly westerly winds
today with temperatures about 10 degrees above normal. An increase in
Pacific moisture on Sunday will bring chances for afternoon
thunderstorms (about 15% chance).
Northwest MT (Zones 104 and 105): Southwesterly flow aloft and an upper
level jet streak over the Northern Rockies will bring mostly
southwesterly winds today with temperatures about 10 degrees above
normal. Expect a drying trend on Sunday, with humidities dropping in the
lower teens.
West Central MT (Zones 106, 107 and 108): Southwesterly flow aloft and
an upper level jet streak over the Northern Rockies will bring mostly
westerly winds today with temperatures about 10 degrees above normal. An
increase in Pacific moisture will result in chances for thunderstorms on
the East Lolo this afternoon and again on Sunday afternoon (about 20%
chance).
Southwest MT (Zones 109, 110 and 111): Southwesterly flow aloft and
an upper level jet streak over the Northern Rockies will bring mostly
westerly winds this afternoon with temperatures about 10 degrees above
normal. An increase in Pacific moisture will result in chances for
thunderstorms this afternoon and again on Sunday afternoon. The
Beaverhead-Deerlodge NF will be favored for thunder on both days.
