.DISCUSSION...
Idaho (Zones 102 and 103): Drying trend with decreasing cloud cover and
very slight chances for shower/thunderstorms in the afternoon hours
Thursday becoming even less to non-existent on Friday. Wetting rains
only possible directly under stronger shower or storm. Heating and
drying into the weekend with overnight inversion / thermal belts
becoming more pronounced. Winds becoming increasingly diurnal/terrain
driven.
Northwest MT (Zones 104 and 105): Extensive cloud cover with shower and
embedded thunderstorm chances continuing / increasing into Thursday
evening. 20-60% chance of wetting rains through Friday morning. Morning
fog / low stratus possible especially where measurable rain has fallen
the previous evening/overnight. Convective showers and thundershowers
likely Friday afternoon and evening with chances for wetting rain only
directly under stronger shower or storm. Lightning producers will also
produce heavy rainfall intensities and localized risk for excessive
rainfall/runoff. Maximum storm outflow gusts could reach up to 35 mph
Friday afternoon and evening. Warming and drying through the weekend
with overnight inversion / thermal belts becoming more pronounced.
West Central MT (Zones 106, 107 and 108): Extensive cloud cover with
chances for showers and thunderstorms gradually decreasing through
Thursday. Friday morning fog / low stratus possible especially where
measurable rain has fallen the previous evening/overnight. Convective
showers and thundershowers possible Friday afternoon and evening with
chances for wetting rain only directly under stronger shower or storm.
Lightning producers will also produce heavy rainfall intensities and
localized risk for excessive rainfall/runoff. Maximum storm outflow
gusts could reach up to 35 mph Friday afternoon and evening. Warming and
drying through the weekend with overnight inversion / thermal belts
becoming more pronounced.
Southwest MT (Zones 109, 110 and 111): Reducing chances for showers and
storms beyond Thursday afternoon. Lightning producers will also produce
heavy rainfall intensities. Drying trend with decreasing cloud cover and

impact from maximum storm outflow gusts up to 30 mph. Wetting rains only
