.DISCUSSION...A ridge of high pressure will be building over the
region this weekend causing a warming and drying trend. A weak
disturbance will flatten the ridge on Monday causing increased
westerly winds, but the area will remain dry. The combination of
wind and low afternoon humidity will approach critical fire
weather conditions. The winds will remain elevated into Tuesday,
but cooler temperatures will allow for slightly higher humidity
readings. The ridge will rebound and strengthen Wednesday through
the end of the week.
