The Glacier National Park official estimated
that approximately 10 trees were downed
during the wind event, many of which were
Lodgepole Pines up to 24 inches in diameter.
One tree struck a parked car at the Lake
McDonald Lodge. Downed trees forced the
closure of the Inside North Fork Road and
the Quarter Circle Bridge Road leading to
Apgar Lookout for 18 hours. No wildfires
were reported as a result of the lightning
strikes Monday night, to their knowledge.
