559 WHUS46 KMTR 081603 CFWMTR Coastal Hazard Message National Weather Service San Francisco CA 903 AM PDT Tue Sep 8 2026 CAZ006-506-508-529-530-090700- /O.NEW.KMTR.CF.Y.0010.260909T0300Z-260910T0800Z/ San Francisco-North Bay Interior Valleys- San Francisco Bay Shoreline-Northern Monterey Bay- Southern Monterey Bay and Big Sur Coast- 903 AM PDT Tue Sep 8 2026 ...COASTAL FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 8 PM THIS EVENING TO 1 AM PDT THURSDAY... * WHAT...Up to 1.2 ft of inundation above ground level is possible in low-lying areas near shorelines and tidal waterways. * WHERE...Bayshore locations along the San Francisco Bay, San Pablo Bay, and Monterey Bay. * WHEN...From 8 PM this evening to 1 AM PDT Thursday. * IMPACTS...Flooding of lots, parks, and roads with only isolated road closures expected. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...At the San Francisco tidal gauge, high tide is expected to be 1.2 ft above normal (6.99 ft MLLW) at 9:59 PM Tuesday 9/8 and 1.0 ft above normal (6.79 ft MLLW) at 10:54 PM Wednesday 9/9. These predictions include up to 0.6 ft of storm surge that will enhance the astronomical tide and flooding threat. High tide varies up to 90 minutes earlier or later along the Pacific Coast and through the San Francisco Bay, respectively. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... If travel is required, allow extra time as some roads may be closed. Do not drive around barricades or through water of unknown depth. Take the necessary actions to protect flood-prone property. && $$
