...ELEVATED FIRE WEATHER THREAT IN THE INTERIOR MOUNTAINS THROUGH
THE WEEKEND DUE TO LOW RH AND MODERATE AFTERNOON BREEZES...
.DISCUSSION...Hot and dry conditions will develop today and will
prevail through midweek. The marine layer has compressed to around
500 feet, which will limit its influence to the immediate coastal
region, and contribute to further drying above 1000 feet. Very low
daytime humidities and poor overnight recoveries are expected
across the higher elevations. Winds remain onshore, but breezy
afternoon winds will elevate the fire weather threat in the
interior mountains, especially through favored gaps and passes.
Note : All winds are 20-foot Winds Unless otherwise specified.
