***ELEVATED GRASS FIRE CONCERNS THROUGH THURSDAY***
.DISCUSSION...Moderate to strong northwest winds continue, with
gusts up to 25-35 mph along the immediate coast, at the
ridgelines, and through gaps and passes. In addition, conditions
remain dry across the interior with poor daytime relative
humidities around 15-25% on Thursday. Both factors will lead to
elevated fire weather conditions for the interior Bay Area and
Central Coast, particularly for fine fuels like bushes and
grasses. A shallow marine layer brings relief to the immediate
coast, but the interior sees poor nighttime humidity recoveries
tonight before overnight RH values increase starting Thursday
night.
