several more opportunities for beneficial rainfall area-wide through
the extended forecast. Along with the expected rainfall,
temperatures will also be below normal through the extended
forecast. Tuesday and the first half of Wednesday offer a brief
window of drier conditions before another system moves on shore by
Wednesday night.

Light rain returns tonight for Lake, Mendocino, and Trinity
Counties. A stronger system arrives elsewhere from midday through
the evening bringing moderate to locally heavy rain and  gusty winds
across NW California. Rain and showers taper off into Monday as the
low moves south. Drier weather is forecast Tuesday  and through late
Wednesday.
