...Discussion from SFOFWFMTR...

Quiet weather returns, with a gradual cooling and drying trend
forecast. This should lead to a deepening marine layer over the next
few days, meaning stratus should infiltrate inland a bit more each
night and there may be coastal drizzle at times. Clouds should
retreat to the coast for the day and we may see onshore winds uptick
during the afternoon and early evening hours, especially favoring
valleys, gaps, and exposed ridges.

...Discussion from SFOFWFEKA...

With increasing instability and moisture arriving this evening,
there remain slight chance (10-15%) of isolated dry thunderstorms
in the interior tonight, primarily for Trinity County. Gusty and
erratic outflow winds of 40 mph are possible with any storms that
do form. Today through the end of the week gradual cooling is
expected with highs mainly in the 80s by Saturday with diurnal
winds and afternoon gusts. Thursday and Friday, an approaching
upper level low/trough will bring a slight chance (10-20%) of
showers for the northern portion of the forecast area, especially
for Del Norte County.
