...Discussion from SFOFWFMTR...

Dry air with some moderate wind continues above the marine layer,
with RH as low as 10-20% at some inland sites above 2,000 feet.
Despite the dry air aloft, the wind direction remains onshore
through the week, preventing critical fire weather conditions. A
small disturbance may deepen the marine layer somewhat today before
weak ridging returns. A more robust system will bring strong
onshore winds to the coast late in the week or by next weekend.

...Discussion from SFOFWFEKA...

Slightly cooler inland temperatures are forecast today. Another
shortwave moving toward the area with a front will bring some shower
potential in northeastern Trinity, but thunderstorm chances remain
low (5% or less) as instability remains meager. Northerly afternoon
winds increase today, particularly in Mendocino and Lake counties.
Low afternoon RH between 15 and 25% will allow for areas of locally
elevated fire weather conditions. Breezy northerlies continue
through the week, with stronger winds possible late week. Minimum
RH values may trend upward slightly behind a weak front, but
elevated to locally critical fire weather conditions are still
possible.
