Clear skies and moderate onshore winds continue through Sunday
evening. Widespread wetting rains and a chance for thunderstorms
arrives late Monday morning with scattered rain and thunderstorm
chances lingering through Tuesday. Any thunderstorms that develop
bring the risk of lightning and locally heavy rainfall. Around half
an inch to an inch of rain is expected in the valleys with 2 to
3 inches possible in the higher elevations of the South Bay and the
Central Coast. A warming and drying trend kicks off on Wednesday.

...Discussion from SFOFWFEKA...

Relatively drier weather is expected through today. A colder, wet
system will bring more widespread rain and mountain snow late night
through Monday. Snow level lowering to about 4500-5000 feet on
Monday morning and afternoon. Colder air aloft will bring increasing
instability on Monday, capable of producing brief heavy downpours
with thunderstorm potential. Periods of gusty winds expected each
day through next week. A drying and warming trend is expected from
mid week and into the weekend.
