...Discussion from SFOFWFMTR...

A weak to moderate atmospheric river will arrive Wednesday into
Thursday with the worst conditions expected overnight Wednesday into
Thursday. Around an inch of rain is expected across the lower
elevations with between 2"-3" expected across the North Bay
Mountains, Santa Cruz Mountains, and Santa Lucia Mountains. The
bigger impact will be from the strong winds associated with this
system with widespread gusts between 40 to 50 mph. Locally higher
gusts in excess of 60 mph are possible along the coast, mountain
ridgetop, and within favored gaps and passes. Winds peak Wednesday
night into Thursday morning before easing by late Thursday. Light
rain and unsettled conditions will persist into early next week.

...Discussion from SFOFWFEKA...

Drier and generally warmer weather is forecast through Tuesday. A
wet and unsettled weather pattern is forecast to return Wednesday
and persist into early Friday. There is potential for heavy
rainfall and multiple periods of strong southerly winds mid to late
this week. Colder air aloft will potentially allow snow levels as
low as 4000 feet Thursday night into Friday.
