.DISCUSSION...Conditions in the burn window will be characterized
by morning southeasterly winds becoming southwesterly by 1300 PDT
and westerly by 1600 PDT. Wind gusts are forecast to approach 10
mph around 1300 PDT and will average between 9 and 11 mph through
the afternoon. ***With the Rx burn location across the higher terrain
of Angel Island, these higher wind speeds/gusts are more
probable.*** The humidity trend will be such that values fall below
80% after noon with minimum RH values falling to around 65% by
1600 PDT. RH is forecast to rebound above 80% by 2000 PDT when
winds dip below 10 mph. Shallow mixing heights of around 500 ft AGL may
translate to poor dispersion and ventilation.
