.DISCUSSION...The main weather impact for the Woodside Incident
through the weekend will be the winds. Northwesterly winds will be
strongest each afternoon and evening with slight easing overnight.
Sunday appears to be the windiest day. A shallow marine layer will
continue to hug the coast and Hwy 1, but on the east side of Hwy 1
and a few 100 feet up in elevation temperatures will be much
warmer and humidity lower both day and night through the weekend.
Finally, low probability but higher impact scenario is a
potential for northeast winds Saturday night into Sunday. The
offshore flow would allow for downsloping winds off the higher
terrain east of Hwy 1. This would result in little to no marine
layer influence and warmer and drier conditions all of the way
down to the ocean.
