...COLD WEATHER ADVISORY WILL EXPIRE AT 8 AM PST THIS MORNING...

Temperatures are rising above Cold Weather Advisory criteria.
Therefore, the Cold Weather Advisory will be allowed to expire.
However, the coldest locations may see temperatures below 36 degrees
continue for a couple more hours.

...COLD WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 AM PST FRIDAY...

* WHAT...Very cold conditions with temperatures 33 to 36 degrees and
  locally to the upper 20s in higher elevations.

* WHERE...Interior portions of San Benito County and the Cholame
  Hills in Southeast Monterey County, and Southern Salinas
  Valley/Arroyo Seco and Lake San Antonio.

* WHEN...Until 8 AM PST Friday.

* IMPACTS...Cold conditions will be hazardous to sensitive
  populations such as unhoused individuals. Prolonged exposure to the
  cold conditions will lead to hypothermia for people, pets, and
  livestock. Cold conditions may damage or kill sensitive crops,
  plants, and vegetation if appropriate precautions are not taken.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The coldest temperatures will occur each night
  from Midnight to 8 AM.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Ensure portable heaters are working properly and are used correctly
to avoid sparking a fire indoors. Do not use generators or grills
inside as carbon monoxide poisoning can result.

Check with your city or county officials for information on the
nearest warming center.

Be sure to dress in layers if outdoors. Make sure that pets and
livestock have adequate food, unfrozen water, and warmth. Cover or
tend to sensitive crops, plants, and vegetation.
