.SYNOPSIS...A series of surface troughs will move E and SE across
the N and central waters today while high pressure builds E
across the S waters. High pressure will move NE across the N and
central waters tonight, lying across the area Sat. The high will
shift E late Sat night and Sun. A warm front will develop along
the SE coast Sat night, then lift N through the central and N
waters Sun as a cold front approaches from the W. The cold front
will move SE across the N and central waters Sun night through
Mon, then stall over the S waters Mon night as high pressure
builds into the N waters. Low pressure will develop along the
stationary front inland over the SE U.S. Mon night, with the low
intensifying while lifting NE from near the Outer Banks to near
Georges Bank Tue and Tue night. A cold front extending S from the
low will move quickly E and SE across the waters Tue night.
Mariners should monitor later forecasts for possible avoidance
from the intensifying low.
