.SYNOPSIS...The waters remain on the S and W parts of high
pressure through today, except for a surface trough along and
near the coast. A cold front approaches the waters from the NW
late today, moves into the N waters tonight, then stalls over or
near the N waters Thu through Fri night. Low pressure should
form along the stalled front Fri, with the low gradually
expanding and deepening as it moves slowly N offshore of the SE
U.S. coast Fri night through Sun. A cold front will move
offshore to the S of the low Sat through Sun as the low moves N.
By Sun night, the low should be well N of the area offshore of
the mid-Atlantic coast. Mariners should monitor later forecasts
on this coastal system, and begin to consider avoidance plans
for the weekend as needed.
