Southeast Gulf of America

.SYNOPSIS...Moderate to fresh N to NE winds will occur over much
of the basin through Tue as a cold front moves southeastward over
the Gulf and into the northwestern Caribbean. Locally strong winds
will be possible in the central basin through tonight. Elsewhere,
fresh E winds will occur in the Florida Straits into the
southeastern Gulf tonight through midweek as high pressure builds
over the southeastern U.S. Looking ahead, moderate or weaker winds
and slight to moderate seas are expected over the Gulf by late
week.

.SYNOPSIS...A cold front extends from 31N74W to south Florida,
and a pre-frontal trough is noted from 31N71W to 26N75W. The cold
front and surface trough will progress into the central Atlantic
this week. In the wake of the front north of 29N, expect fresh to
strong N to NW winds and rough seas through late Tue. Otherwise,
moderate to locally fresh NE winds are expected over much of the
waters by midweek as the front slowly weakens.
