Southeast Gulf of America

.SYNOPSIS...A tight pressure gradient between high pressure over
the eastern United States and low pressure in the western
Atlantic off the coasts of NE Florida and Georgia. This pattern
is supporting fresh NE winds across the southeast Gulf this
morning. Winds and seas will diminish through tonight across the
basin as the low pressure moves farther north, and pulls a cold
front across the far southeast Gulf and Straits of Florida.
Ridging will build across the Gulf by midweek, allowing for gentle
to moderate easterly winds.

.THIS AFTERNOON...N to NE winds 20 to 25 kt. Seas 4 to 6 ft.
.TONIGHT...N winds 20 to 25 kt, becoming N to NE 10 to 15 kt
after midnight. Seas 4 to 6 ft.
.SUN...N to NE winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 3 to 5 ft.
.SUN NIGHT...NE winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 3 to 4 ft in the evening,
subsiding to 2 ft or less.
.MON...NE winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 2 ft or less.
.MON NIGHT...NE winds 15 to 20 kt. Seas 2 ft or less.
.TUE...NE winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 2 ft or less, building to 3 ft
in the afternoon.

Within 200 nm east of the coast of Florida

.SYNOPSIS...A 1004 mb low pressure is centered near 30.5N77W,
supporting near-gale force winds and rough to very rough seas
through the afternoon mainly north of 27N and west of 77W. An
associated cold front will extend from the low center across south
Florida into the SE Gulf of America. Winds and seas will diminish
through early Mon as the low pressure moves north of the area.

.THIS AFTERNOON...S to SW winds 15 to 20 kt S of 27N, and SW to W
25 to 30 kt N of 27N. Seas 8 to 12 ft N of 27N and 5 to 8 ft
S of 27N. Scattered showers and isolated tstms.
.TONIGHT...SW to W winds 20 to 25 kt S of 27N, and W 25 to 30 kt
N of 27N. Seas 6 to 9 ft in E swell. Scattered showers and
isolated tstms.
.SUN...W winds 15 to 20 kt S of 27N, and W 20 to 25 kt N of 27N.
Seas 6 to 8 ft in E swell.
.SUN NIGHT...S of 27N, NE winds 10 to 15 kt, shifting to SE to S
15 to 20 kt after midnight. N of 27N, W to NW winds 20 to 25 kt.
