Marine Weather HF Voice Broadcast for the Gulf of America

Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average
height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be
more than twice the significant wave height.

.SYNOPSIS...Weak high pressure across the north-central Gulf
extends a narrow ridge southeastward to the Yucatan Channel. The
high pressure will drift slowly W-NW and settle across the NW
Gulf through Thu. A weak 1014 mb low pressure is just offshore
of central Florida near Titusville. It is forecast to move
westward across the Florida Peninsula today and then reach the
NE Gulf by Wed. Environmental conditions appear generally
favorable for additional development, and a tropical depression
could form while the system moves across the NE and north-
central Gulf. Regardless, scattered to numerous showers and
thunderstorms, some with strong gusty winds, will accompany this
system.
