Marine Weather HF Voice Broadcast for the Gulf of Mexico

Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average
height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be
more than twice the significant wave height.

.SYNOPSIS...Disorganized showers and thunderstorms located over
the NW Caribbean and parts of Central America are associated
with broad low pressure. Environmental conditions appear
conducive for development, and a tropical depression or tropical
storm is likely to form during the next few days while the
system moves north across the NW Caribbean and into the SE Gulf
of Mexico. Later this week, the low is forecast to move
generally north across the eastern Gulf of Mexico. Regardless of
development, winds and seas will significantly increase across
the eastern Gulf this week. There is a medium chance of tropical
formation within the next 48 hours and a high chance over the
next 7 days.
