New England continental shelf and slope waters from 25 nm
offshore to the Hague Line, except to 1000 fm south of New
England.

Conditions given represent the highest within that period.

Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average
height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be
more than twice the significant wave height.

Locally higher winds and seas can be expected in and near tstms.

The National Weather Service is accepting public comments until
July 29 2024 on a proposal to replace feet with meters when
describing seas in a variety of National Marine Center text
and graphical products for the Offshore and High Seas Areas

.SYNOPSIS FOR NEW ENGLAND WATERS...Low pressure and an associated
cold front just E of the area will move further E of the waters
today. A weak high pressure ridge will form over the area today,
and shift E of the waters tonight. Another cold front will
approach the coast Wed into Wed night, then slowly cross the
waters late Wed night into Thu night. High pressure will build E
over New England late Thu night, spread E over the waters Fri
into Sat, and then shift E Sat and Sat night as a warm front
lifts N and NE across the area.

Gulf of Maine to the Hague Line

.TODAY...NW winds 5 to 15 kt, becoming W to SW. Seas 4 to 7 ft.
.TONIGHT...SW winds 10 to 15 kt, increasing to 15 to 20 kt. Seas
3 to 6 ft.
.WED...SW winds 15 to 25 kt. Seas 4 to 8 ft.
.WED NIGHT...S to SW winds 10 to 20 kt. Seas 4 to 8 ft.
Scattered showers and isolated tstms with vsby 1 nm or less.
.THU...W to SW winds 10 to 20 kt, becoming variable less than
