West central North Atlantic continental shelf and slope waters
beyond 20 nm to 250 nm offshore, including south of Georges Bank
from 1000 fm to 250 nm offshore.

Conditions given represent the highest within that period.

Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average
height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be
more than twice the significant wave height.

Locally higher winds and seas can be expected in and near tstms.

.SYNOPSIS FOR MID ATLC WATERS...A cold front will stall over the
far S waters today and tonight. High pressure will move offshore
from New England to near Georges Bank by late today, resulting in
counterflow to the Gulf Stream and the potential for steeper,
breaking waves. The high will then shift NE of the area tonight
and Sat. To the S, low pressure will form offshore of the E
Florida coast along the stalled front later today. The low will
deepen and expand as it moves N tonight through Sun, eventually
being centered just offshore of the Virginia Capes Sun night.
This broad, complex low will move very slowly E from the Virginia
Capes to the outer Mid-Atlantic Waters Sun night through Tue
night. Mariners must monitor later forecasts on the coastal
system, and begin to consider avoidance plans as needed. This
will be a long duration event for the east coast, impactful to
the mariner.
