West central North Atlantic continental shelf and slope waters
beyond 20 nm to 250 nm offshore, including south of Georges Bank
from 1000 fm to 250 nm offshore.

Conditions given represent the highest within that period.

Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average
height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be
more than twice the significant wave height.

Locally higher winds and seas can be expected in and near tstms.

.SYNOPSIS FOR MID ATLC WATERS...Tonight the waters remain between
high pressure over the eastern U.S. and broad low pressure well
out over the N Atlantic centered near 39N. The low SE of Nova
Scotia will deepen and broaden tonight as it moves slightly W,
before shifting S Fri. The strong low, centered near 39N64W early
Fri, will slowly move farther E into the N Atlantic Fri night
through Sat night as high pressure gradually moves E over the
area. Mariners should consider avoidance plans depending on their
vessel type and cargo. High pressure will be over the waters Sun,
moving E late Sun and Sun night as a cold front moves into the W
waters late Sun night. The cold front pushes E across the waters
Mon and early Mon night. Low pressure and a surface trough will
linger over the N waters behind the front late Mon night while
high pressure will briefly build over the central and S waters
early Tue before weakening. The next cold front will approach and
cross the region Tue night.
