West central North Atlantic continental shelf and slope waters
beyond 20 nm to 250 nm offshore, including south of Georges Bank
from 1000 fm to 250 nm offshore.

Conditions given represent the highest within that period.

Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average
height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be
more than twice the significant wave height.

Locally higher winds and seas can be expected in and near tstms.

.SYNOPSIS FOR MID ATLC WATERS...Low pressure well E of northern
portions will continue moving E while weakening tonight into Wed.
A high pressure ridge will build S over the region tonight into
Wed, then slowly shift E of the area Wed night through Thu night.
Low pressure will develop N of the waters Thu night, then track
slowly SE while strengthening to the N and then E of the area Fri
through Sat night. The low will then move well E of the region
Sun and Sun night as another ridge builds S over the N waters.
Winds and seas will likely increase over the S portion Thu
through Fri ahead of Tropical Storm Helene moving from the
eastern Gulf of Mexico inland into the Southeast U.S. All marine
interests should closely monitor the latest forecasts from the
National Hurricane Center.
