height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be
more than twice the significant wave height.

.SYNOPSIS FOR CALIFORNIA WATERS...A significant low pressure
system will continue to slide southward over the waters tonight
into Sat with an associated front moving through the S waters
into early Sat. Higher seas will linger in the S waters into Sat
night as the remnant low lingers. A cold front will cross the
waters Sun into Sun night, exiting the area early Mon. Ridging
and surface high pressure slowly builds E toward the area Mon
night into Tue night. A warm front will develop and surge
northward over the N and central portions late Tue night into Wed
with a strong cold front expected to approach the region from
the W by late Wed. The front will likely move E and SE across the
waters Wed night.
