.DISCUSSION...Hurricane Isaias is near 28.2N 87.2W, or about 140 nm
south of Pensacola, Florida and 110 nm southeast of the mouth of
the Mississippi River at 12 PM CDT with a pressure of 959 mb, and
is moving north-northeast at 14 kt. Maximum sustained winds are 105 kt
(120 mph) with gusts to 130 kt (150 mph), and the minimum central
pressure is 959 mb. Isaias will move to near 29.7N 86.8W this evening,
then move inland and weaken to a tropical storm near 32.1N 87.1W Sat
morning. Ahead and east of Isaias, very hazardous marine conditions are
expected as numerous showers and thunderstorms are presently occurring
over Gulf waters north of 28N between 84W and 89W along with very
rough to very high seas. Conditions at the incident location will
deteriorate rapidly during the remainder of the afternoon and into
tonight.
