.DISCUSSION...A weak surface trough N of the area is helping to
stream in some layered clouds with isolated showers and
thunderstorms. There are scattered cloud decks in between 2,500
and 5,000 ft with occasional broken cloud layer decks at 5,000 ft.
In addition to the weak surface trough, a mid and upper level
trough extending southward through the Bahamas may aide in diurnal
thunderstorm activity that peaks late this afternoon and evening.
By Thursday, moisture from Tropical Storm Helene, which will pass
well W of the area over far western Cuba, will increase, leading
to more isolated showers and thunderstorms.
