.DISCUSSION...A major pattern shift is in store tonight as an Arctic trough
crashes into the area with temperatures dropping as much as 30
degrees along the coast. The trough won`t be felt quite as
strongly over the plains, but since the trough will be wet,
rainfall amounts of 0.5"-1.5" are expected south of Umiat through
Wednesday night. RH values will climb and temperatures drop across
the area, and fire weather concerns will go from notable in the
recent warm pattern to minimal. Multiple rounds of rainfall are
expected through the week with temperatures mainly in the 40s and
50s. The long term continues to look cool and wet as well.
