...WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 AM AKDT THURSDAY...

* WHAT...Heavy mixed precipitation. Additional snow accumulations up
  to one inch and ice accumulations around a tenth of an inch.

* WHERE...Central Arctic Plains and Central Brooks Range.

* WHEN...Until 7 AM AKDT Thursday.

* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous
  conditions could impact the Wednesday morning and evening commutes.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in
your vehicle in case of an emergency. The latest road conditions for
the state you are calling from can be obtained by calling 5 1 1.

THURSDAY...

* WHAT...Heavy mixed precipitation expected. Total snow
  accumulations up to 4 inches and ice accumulations up to a quarter
  inch.

* WHERE...Howard Pass and the Delong Mountains and Western Arctic
  Plains.

* WHEN...Until 10 PM AKDT Thursday.

* IMPACTS...Ice accumulations will lead to hazardous travel
  conditions and very slick surfaces. Significant ice accumulation
  on power lines may cause power outages.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Persons should consider delaying all travel. Motorists should use
extreme caution if travel is absolutely necessary.

Do not touch downed lines and report any power outages to your
electric company. Travel is highly discouraged due to slick roadways
and the possibility of downed trees and power lines.

  as high as 35 mph.

* WHERE...Central Arctic Plains, Central Beaufort Sea Coast, and
  Central Brooks Range.

* WHEN...Until 7 AM AKDT Friday.

* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. Any accumulating snow
  and freezing rain could create difficult travel conditions.
