.SYNOPSIS FOR NEW ENGLAND WATERS...A broad and complex coastal
low will remain nearly stationary just offshore of the SE and
Mid-Atlantic coasts tonight. The parent low off the SE coast will
move E-NE through early Tue, while the secondary low about 150 nm
E of the Virginia Capes will drift toward the coast through Tue.
By Tue night, the northern low will become absorbed or dissipate
and the southern low will finally move E of the waters Tue night
into Wed. Mariners should continue to monitor later forecasts on
this coastal system as it will be highly impactful to the
mariner through the middle of the week. High pressure will build
S into the eastern U.S. Wed through Thu, maintaining a strong
pressure gradient across the waters, then persist through Fri
night. A new area of low pressure will likely form just E of the
outer Mid-Atlantic waters Thu and quickly move farther E and SE
into the Atlantic by Fri night.
