Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be more than twice the significant wave height. Locally higher winds and seas can be expected in and near tstms. ANZ899-030245- 1034 AM EDT Fri Oct 2 2026 .SYNOPSIS FOR MID ATLC WATERS...Weak high pressure centered just E of the S waters today will very gradually drift E tonight through Sat night while maintaining a ridge across the S waters. A cold front will move SE into the N portion early Sat morning, then stall across the central and northern waters Sat night into Sun as low pressure forms along the boundary. The low will move N of the area Sun night while lifting the front N to near Georges Bank by late Sun night. Another stronger cold front will move SE across the area Mon and Mon night, then stall just S of the S waters Tue and Tue night.
