beyond 60 nm to 250 nm offshore, including south of Georges Bank
from 1000 fm to 250 nm offshore.

Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average
height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be
more than twice the significant wave height.

Locally higher winds and seas can be expected in and near tstms.

.SYNOPSIS FOR MID ATLC WATERS...Weak high pressure will remain
centered just E of the southern waters today while maintaining a
ridge across the area. A stalled front will persist across the
central and northern waters today. Weak low pressure will
develop along the front late today, then move N of the area
tonight while lifting the front N to near Georges Bank. Another
stronger cold front will move SE across the area Mon and Mon
night, then stall across the far S waters Tue and Tue night. Low
pressure will develop along the front just S of the area Tue
night, then slowly lift NE along the front through the S waters
Wed and Wed night. Meanwhile, high pressure will build E across
the N and central waters Tue through Wed night. The front will
slowly progress E across the southern waters Thu and Thu night as
the ridge of high pressure remains in place across the central
and northern portions.
